I have no doubt that the Panasonic ES8109S Vortex Wet/Dry Shaver with Nano Technology and HydraClean System is a fine product however I seem to be one of these people who can only get a proper shave using the old low-tech razor.

i used this shaver for almost 2 months, twice as long as panasonic recommended for your face to “get used to it. ” does a decent job on the face, routinely misses neck hairs, leaves stray hairs on the neck. not a good shaver, back to the blade for this face.

It is cordless and the battery works just fine. It has a cleaning mechanism that is only about twice as bothersome as cleaning the razor by hand. It shaves reasonably well if you have a lot of time to waste going over and over those neck hairs that seem to evade the cutters. Speaking of the cutters and the screens, they become quite warm before I am finished shaving which leads me to believe that there is friction and that the very thin screens are not likely to last very long. For this reason I decided to buy replacement screens, but in Amazon’s many pages of Panasonic razor stuff I find screens for dozens of different razors, but alas, none for this model. This is annoying because it makes me feel the razor is now just that much more lacking. In a way, not getting replacement parts will undoubtedly cause me to the sensible thing; i. e. , chuck it and buy another Norelco.
